Cessna 182 Personal Aircraft
The Cessna model 182 is a light airplane sold under the name Skylane which seats 4 with room for 2 additional child seats which can be optionally installed in the baggage hold.1 It was first released in 1956 and a total of 182 have been manufactured in a variety of variant some with retractable landing gear.1
It is the 2nd most popular Cessna aircraft after the 172.1 The 182 was introduced as a variant of the 180 with the addition of tricycle landing gear.1 More recent versions of the 182 have featured more powerful engines and larger windows.
The plane features an all-metal construction of aluminum alloy.1 Some small parts such as the nose bowl and wingtips are made of fiberglass or plastic though.1 It's wings are formed in a similar way to the 172 but the flaps and aileron design are somewhat different.
The models R182 and TR182 were manufactured with retractable landing gear and the TR182 also has turbo charging..1 The retraction system utilizes hydraulic actuators driven by an electric pump.1 Models 182-182 Q featured a single 230 hp Continental O-470 driven by a two blade prop.1 R182 featured a 235 hp Lycoming O540-J3c5D.1 The latest SMA retrofit model features a 230 hp SMA SR305-230.The Cessna 182 multi engine aircraft is a beautiful airplane. The body of the plane looks very much like the single engine 182 Cessna Skylark, except that instead of having a prop on the nose, the 182 multi-engine aircraft has a twin engines with a propeller on each wing. This plane is one of the best Cessnas for flight instruction. I'm very partial to Cessnas because my father owned a 172 single engine Cessna.
Most pilots enjoy flying Cessnas; some like the single engine planes best, while others enjoy the multi engine airplanes the best. The Cessna Aircraft Company is the largest personal aircraft manufacturer in the terms of sales. In a way flying an airplane is like driving a car; the car has brakes, and so does an airplane. When you are in the air the ailerons function as breaks to slow the plane in the air.
The 182 personal aircraft comes in two models, which is the single engine prop and the twin engine prop. In order to fly an airplane you must be licensed. When you are learning to fly, you will have an instructor flying with you, until you do your solo flight. The Cessna 182 multi engine aircraft is one of the best airplanes to learn to fly on. I always wanted to learn to fly like my dad, and I hope to take flying lessons in the future.
The Cessna 182 multi engine aircraft isn't much different to fly than the single engine Cessnas. In the multi engine there are two throttles and in a single engine there is just one. If you can fly a single engine airplane you can fly the Cessna 182 multi engine aircraft. Most pilots who have not flown a multi engine airplane train in a flight simulator, and also train with an experienced pilot. Once you learn how all the gadgets work, handling a plane isn't much different than learning to driving a car.
