The Cessna Aircraft Company is an airplane manufacturing corporation whose headquarters is in Wichita, Kansas, USA. Their main products are general aviation aircrafts. Although they are the most well-known for their small, piston-powered aircraft, they also produce personal, business and other commercial jets.
I didn't found much information about the Cessna 26 on the web. But, the Cessna 26 and 41 series is a short-range, high-wing trainer aircrafts series and the military version of the Cessna 172 Skyhawk, primarily for pilot candidate screening. The T-41 trainer is equipped with avionics and other equipment consistent with military missions.
The T-41A model is used by Air Training Command for preliminary flight screening of Air Force pilot candidates before their entry into undergraduate pilot training. The Cessna engines are so powerful for its size, it is hard to put more people and fuel in the plane than it can hold. Usual cruise speeds are around 120 to 125 knots, and climb speeds of 1,000 to 1,750 feet per minute! This is a hearty plane that handles short and soft field take off and landing with a breeze. It has enough power to get in and out of almost anywhere (lets not get ridiculous though). Built for the traffic pattern it can handle rough landings like a charm. Although quite heavy on the controls, the plane is great for cross country flights anywhere you want to go.
These airplanes are also used for aerial photography, skydiving and other utility purposes. They can also be equipped with floats, amphibious floats and skis. Alternatively, they can be fitted with luxury appointments for use as a personal air transport.
