Cessna 210 Personal Aircraft
The Cessna 210 Centurion is a 6-seater built for high performance.1 This aircraft which was manufactured from the late Fifties through the mid-Eighties remains a staple at flight schools across the country.1 Two main versions are available:1 a normally aspirated one, and a pressuriezed P10 variant version.1 Post-1966 210's feature cantilevered wings and some also feature optional de-icing boots.
Other variants of the 210 include the 210N andthe T210N with turbocharging.1 The pressurized P210N is the version produced in the largest quantity.1 The T210R and P210 R are the rarest models and were only manufactured from 1985-1986.1
The original 210 strut wing version was later developed into the fixed gear 205.1 The 205 was used as the base for the 206 and 207 as well.1 The closest rival sto the 210 are the Beechcraft 36 Bonanza, the Piper Saratoga, and the Piper Malibu.
The 210 has a devoted following of pilots who appreciate its speed and carrying capacity.1 It also boasts the kind of fuel economy normally only found in single engine planes.1 Southern Africa, Australia and Papua New Guinea all have fairly sizeable numbers of 210's.1 Flight Express of Orlando owns the largest fleet of these planes with 59 of them.
